WEAVER NAVIGATION PR

A new ride based around Moulton and Whitegate. Details are still being finalised so all information is subject to change.

Venue:
Gate 8, Compass Minerals Works, 36 Bradford Road, Winsford, CW7 2PF.

Click here to see the venue location.

This new ride uses restricted byeways and lanes that many members will not have ridden before with short (about 14km) and long (about 20km) options on mostly flat terrain with less than 15% on quiet roads. Both options ride the Whitegate Way to beyond Whitegate Station and loop through Whitegate Village with its thatched cottages and “Knights Guard” sculpture. The longer route crosses the Weaver Navigation on wooden bridges and then under a railway bridge (with at least 2.4m / 7ft 10inch clearance) onto restricted byeways around Moulton. There are two gates on the long option, one on the short option. Compass Minerals are kindly providing the hardcore venue. Exact mileage still to be confirmed – hoping for an extra 2km around Moulton!

Ride Route: Approx. 14km (Class 1) or 20km (Class 2) along the Whitegate Way and adjoining lanes (with possibly an extra 2km around Moulton).

EQUINE FLU VACCINATION:
1. All horses must be up to date with their vaccinations against Equine Influenza, and passports must be brought to the ride.
2. Horses must not attend if they are showing signs of illness or if they have had recent direct contact with a horse that is showing signs of illness.
3. Horses must not attend if they have been imported into the UK in the last 21 days, or if they have had direct contact with a horse that been recently (within the last 21 days) imported into the UK.
4. A legible copy of your horse’s Vaccination Certificate MUST accompany your Entry.

Start Time: 9am to 11am.

Entry Fees:
£10 EGB - Full and Associate Members;
£15 Non-Members (including 1 day temporary membership for insurance cover).

You can also enter this ride online by clicking here.
Please Note: At the present time the "Print Statement" button on the final "Order Statement" page may not be working - but you will still get an email from PayPal confirming receipt of your payment.

PLEASE REMEMBER that you MUST include a legible copy of your horses Equine Flu Vaccination Certificate with your entry whichever way you enter.
If entering by post just include paper copies and if entering online use the RED upward pointing arrow (next to the panel "Upload information (if necessary)" to locate the files on your computer and add them.
FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF ANY DOUBT YOU NEED TO INCLUDE THE FIRST PAGE (IDENTIFICATION PAGE WITH NAME OF THE HORSE) AND THE VACCINATION PAGE(S) COVERING THE LAST FOUR YEARS. IF ALL FOUR YEARS ARE ON THE SAME PAGE AN ENTRY SHOULD INCLUDE TWO PAGES. IF VACCINATIONS ARE SPLIT OVER TWO PAGES THEN IT’S THREE TO SEND.

Please note it has been decided that we will issue nothing for our Pleasure Rides as all the relevant information will appear on this page as it becomes available.
So if you are unable to print a route map you must indicate that you will need to pick up a copy from the secretary at the ride on your entry form.
